In the First Half, the Spartans dominated possession but missed a number of opportunities in front of goal. The best opportunities to open the score came after 35minutes; Ryan Spiteri’s goal was ruled out for offside by the referee. In the 39th minute, Nanapere hit the upright from a Ryan Spiteri’s cross.
The Spartans continued their domination in the second half. The Swallows were well organized at the back to contain the Spartans’ assault. In the closing minutes Nanpere showed the Spartans’ supporters his firing power. In the 82nd minute dribbled past two defenders in the box to slot it in. In the 87th minute on the counter, Nanapere managed to lob it into the Swallows’ net.
This was the Spartans fourth win in a row and Jean Claude Debattista’s third clean sheet.
