D’Amato’s side showed it intentions early in the first half and had three clear chances to open the score.  The Spartans had to wait up to the 29^th minute to open the score sheet through a Briffa’s shot from outside the box which was placed in the low corner of the net.  In the second half, the Spartans firing power increased and managed to score on three occasions.  On the 52^nd minute, Rodney Refalo doubled the score from a cross.  In the 60^th minute, Shead headed the ball into the net from a corner.  In the 81^st minute Melvin Busuttil scored from a corner.

 

The Spartans next match will be against Dingli Swallows FC.
